Lamps
For our light towers, you can choose either 400 watt HQ lights or 150 or 200 watt LED lights.
400 watt HQ
If you choose HQ lamps, our light fixture consists of an energy-efficient 400 watt HQ Philips lamp. The lamps are adjustable. Our lamps have a capacity of 8,000 burning hours and a high light output of 38,000 lumens.
LED
With LED lighting, our light fixture consists of an energy efficient 150 watt or 200 watt LED bulb. All our LED fixtures come with a 5 year warranty! These lamps are also adjustable.
What is LED?
LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. An LED lamp does not use combustion, like the incandescent lamp. This means that the light is not generated by a filament. Because the fixtures have an asymmetrical axis, the light is reflected outward.
Benefits LED
- Longer lifespan
Our HQ lamps burn 8,000 hours. This is in contrast to our LED bulbs. They last as much as 16 times longer! You also get a 5-year warranty on all our LED bulbs.
- Less energy consumption
Both LED lights and HQ lamps are electric light sources, but the energy consumption is much lower with LED. Our LED lights consume only 150 or 200 watts, while our HQ lights consume 400 watts per hour.
- Lower costs
The purchase price of an LED bulb is higher than that of an HQ bulb, but make no mistake! Because LED lights consume significantly less and last longer, the total cost of an LED bulb is significantly lower.
- Shorter turn-on time
An LED bulb takes only one second to burn at full brightness. LED lights require no warm-up or cool-down time. After turning off the track lighting, you can immediately turn the LED lights back on.
